About me

Megan Stacey

Counselor, MS, LAC, CCTS-I

I’m a Christian counselor, passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and reconnect with their inner strength. As a former elementary school teacher, I understand the unique pressures families, children, and educators face, and I bring patience, warmth, and creativity to the counseling process. Reaching out for support takes courage, and I’m honored to walk alongside clients as they pursue healing, clarity, and resilience.

Together, we can work through experiences such as trauma, anxiety, stress, relationship struggles, and life transitions so you can move toward a more grounded and hopeful future. I have a special passion for supporting individuals who have experienced intimate betrayal, betrayal trauma, and institutional betrayal within families, churches, schools, or other communities they once trusted.

Healing from betrayal can feel isolating and confusing, especially when the harm comes from the very people or institution that were supposed to be safe: but you don’t but you don’t have to walk through it alone. I help clients process the impact of betrayal trauma and institutional betrayal, rebuild trust in themselves, establish healthy boundaries, and regain a sense of stability and self-worth.

My approach is trauma-informed and collaborative, integrating cognitive-behavioral strategies with mindfulness and person-centered care. This means we focus not only on understanding your experiences, but also on developing practical tools that support healing in everyday life. Above all, I strive to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and truly heard.

As a former elementary school teacher, I have developed a deep appreciation for the emotional worlds of children and families. That experience shaped my empathetic, patient approach to counseling and continues to inform the supportive and compassionate space I strive to create for my clients.
